Every driver in Lagos has a story. A car that broke down on the third mainland bridge. A mechanic who disappeared after collecting money. A spare part that turned out to be fake. A job that was “fixed” but failed again two days later. We got tired of hearing those stories because we lived them too.
BrodaMeko started from a simple conviction: the mechanic-to-car-owner relationship in Nigeria is broken at the trust layer. Not because mechanics are bad, most are skilled, hardworking people. But because there was no infrastructure to make them visible, accountable, and accessible in a way drivers could rely on.
So we built that infrastructure. A platform where mechanics are verified before they show up. Where prices are agreed before the job starts. Where payments are protected. Where records exist. Where good work is rewarded and poor work has consequences.
